The trundle bed pulls out and pops up to form two twin beds (or king size bed when pushed together). When trundle bed is popped up, it is at the same level as the main bed. Included is the Charles Rogers linen bedskirt. Charles Rogers has been making top quality beds since 1855, and this bed (with linen bedskirt - which is needed to hide the trundle bed when it is stored under the main bed) is currently available on their company website for approximately $1800. Go to charlesprogers.com and select Iron & Brass Sleigh Daybed. Then, select the wrought with antique brass finish, the trundle bed option, and the linen bed skirt to get an accurate price, and add in the taxes.This classic bed looks great with any bed linens: solids, prints, stripes, or plaids. I included photos with different linens on the bed to show the versatility. This is the same bed in all photos. The mattresses and bed linens are NOT included but show how the bed looks set up.This bed has only been slept on a few times and is still like new.
