MARINE MECHANIC in Stuart, FL

The Hinckley Company is growing and we are looking for an EXPERIENCED Mechanic to join our STUART, Florida yard. This service yard is looking for an experienced mechanic to perform complex mechanical repairs, and installs, boat systems: jets, engines, plumbing, hydraulics system installations and repairs utilizing knowledge of HVAC and engines. The ideal candidate will have the ability to install complete mechanical systems, have a drive and desire to meet or beat schedule and budget for project with no rework. The ability to survey boats, prepare job estimates and plan projects through to completion is vital. This mechanic will work independently to complete projects and may lead a small work team to complete projects.
Hinckley's mechanics are required to posses excellent communication and people skills that meet or exceed The Hinckley Company's quality standards.
Qualifications:
Vocational technical school degree/certification or High School Diploma or General Equivalency Degree (GED)
Specialization and/or certification in: Air conditioning, Refrigeration, Engines, specifically VOLVO
Four (4) to five (5) years experience in marine or automotive maintenance field
Basic computer skills
Basic reading, writing, and math (metric) skills
Knowledge and operation of portable drill; vacuum; wrenches, pliers, tape, testers, voltmeters, pressure gauge. Basic mechanic tool set and metric SAE standard mechanic tool set.
Engine Diagnostic tools, Refrigeration/HVAC tools; Hydraulic testing.
