A successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of all aspects of the printing process, from design layout and prepress to printing and finishing. Must be proficient with all prepress related software, and a need to constantly improve your personal knowledge of these technologies. You must be able to work independently, but more impotantly, as part of a team. You will be working closely with not only Prepress, but Client Services, Sales and directly with clients. Background in graphic and web design a real plus.
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of all Adobe Creative Suite Standard applications, and Microsoft Office
Knowledge of prepress requirements for quality printing (i.e. color space, resolution & bleed)
Knowledge of the print manufacturing process
Must be able to explain complex printing processes and prepress issues in everyday language to clients and sales staff
Must be flexible and a quick learner
Must be self-motivated, with ability to process a high quantity of work with little direct supervision in a fast-paced environment
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
Not deal-breakers, but may give you an edge:
Experience with digital printing process, including preparing files for variable-data printing
Experience with Kodak Prinergy Connect with Rules-Based Automation
Knowledge of Kodak InSite Prepress Portal
Experience with image color correction and manipulation
Proficiency in graphic and web design
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of QuarkXPress

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
